How we can help
One in seven Australians has some form of communication disability such as finding it hard to understand or to be understood. Their ability to communicate – to talk, hear, read and write – has broken down. Children, adolescents, adults and the elderly can all experience difficulties.
If you (or someone you know) experience difficulties you may need to see a speech pathologist.

Assessment
Our team offer a comprehensive assessment service. We are able to conduct a full assessment of all areas of speech, language, literacy, swallowing/feeding, oromotor skills, social skills and voice.
The assessment session usually takes up to one hour. Sometimes, for school-aged clients the assessment can take up to three hours to complete all of the necessary tests required. If a longer assessment is likely, we tend to break the assessment into two or three sessions as concentrating for this length of time is very difficult.
We are able to write a comprehensive report following the assessment when requested.

Individual therapy
We offer individual therapy sessions for either 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 60 minutes, depending on the individual need.
Therapy sessions can be conducted in the clinic, at school, at home, or in the community.
Home programs are provided to encourage faster improvement of skills, and to assist with carryover.

Group sessions
Asphasia group

Social skills
We offer tailor made programs depending on the individuals in the group and use a number of programs including the ‘Stop Think Do’ program.
